Sexual Healing

When I was a young man, I suffered from a lack of understanding about the true nature of sexuality. I had no idea where to turn for advice about sexuality because I knew the culture I was living in was just as mixed up about sex as I was.

I wish I could go back in time and have a conversation with that struggling young man. I'd like to tell him the truth:

"You have a deep desire for an authentic loving relationship with a woman and a belief in the healing power of love. You are going to co-create a wonderful, passionate, loving relationship with a woman. Together you are going to heal each other. You will discover your inner lover, the part of you who knows intuitively how to be a great lover. Your relationship will be even better than your wildest fantasies. It will be everything you've dreamed of and more."

The possibilities of human relationship have turned out to be more wonderful and far more profound than I could have imagined. The joy of living every day with your best friend and lover can transform the darkest day into heaven on earth. It's enough to give me hope that we humans can eventually learn to love each other and co-create a happy home for ourselves here on this planet.

For many years Christine and I have traveled the path of sexual healing. We have also helped other couples and individuals experience sexual healing. Although being in a loving relationship is certainly a plus, you don't need a partner to experience sexual healing.

Love begins with loving yourself. Great sex begins with loving your own body. Self-loving can become a totally natural and satisfying way to explore your sexuality, whether you are in a relationship or not.

Scientific studies back up what we have discovered through our own experience: loving and being loved have a magnificent ripple effect through your entire being, enhancing every aspect of your life. You feel more alive. Your mood brightens. You think more clearly. And you feel closer to the divine Source of Love.

Modern life (including staring at a computer screen for hours a day) keeps many people up in their heads. They are out of touch with their body, heart and soul. They have limiting thoughts and beliefs which get in the way of experiencing passionate, mind-blowing ecstatic lovemaking.

They become accustomed to one-dimensional sex. They may have a physical orgasm but miss out on the passion and emotional connection that gives sex meaning. Others feel affection and closeness during sex but seldom experience peak excitement and full orgasmic fulfillment.

We coach our clients so they can experience the joy of total multi-dimensional sex. Sex is a body-mind-spirit experience.

On the physical level it's helpful to think of sex as a special kind of sport. You need to be fit. You need to learn skills and techniques. You get better with practice. You can improve dramatically with expert coaching. Once you master the basics it's pleasurable, fun and great for your health.

On the emotional level, sex is the ultimate heart-to-heart conversation -- a deep expression of love and intimacy. Sex is Nature's way of helping women and men open their hearts to honest, loving communication with each other. What could be better for your self-esteem and for healing emotional wounds than being loved just the way you've always wanted to be?

On the spiritual level, sex is the original sacrament of a universal religion called Love. The fundamental spiritual practice of every religion is to "Love one another."

Sex is a meditation, a Tantric yoga that can open the door to higher dimensions of consciousness and oneness with the universe. Sex is a tangible, bodily experience of divine love. You are worshiping the God or Goddess in human form. You become part of something larger than yourself. When a man and a woman make love they partake of the ultimate mystery of creation itself.

When these three streams of physical sex, emotional intimacy and spiritual worship flow together, a new experience of multi-dimensional sex occurs.

Sexual energy is one of the most powerful forms of love in human life. Our sexually confused society has conditioned almost everyone in ways that keep them from enjoying their sexuality in the fullest and deepest way possible.

If every man and woman on this planet were loved just the way they wanted to be, just as often as they wanted to be, we would live in a world inhabited by happy, creative, peaceful, caring people.
